NGONI is the dynamic music duo of AyDee and Pato.These brothers(as they have become since they met) started their music journey way back in 1993 when they met in Makerere college school.AyDee had just joined the school from King's College Budo and he happened to find 3 guys rehearsing in the football pitch after class and that marked the start of a brotherhood that would stretch to-date. Together with Ronnie Katabazi and David Kiddu,they performed under different names like Arrested Agents..(OOPS!!) and later XPARE(their name initials) until they finally decided on NGONI.Currently AyDee and Pato are the active members of NGONI though they are helped out both with operational duties by Ronnie and David, who are also juggling other careers in the U.K.

They released their first song 'BANACITY' in 2002 with a video that got a fair amount of airplay on the local TV stations.However since hitting it bigtime with 'DIGI' in 2005,NGONI have continued their rise to musical fame.Their debut album titled 'NASIIMA GWE' produced a brand new vibe to Ugandan music and spurned the hits Nasiima Gwe, Digi, Nakupenda, Bigula and Sunita.

In April 2006,NGONI performed at 4 shows in East London and that marked the start of their international tours.In June 2006, they were invited to perform alongside Senegalese-born American RnB superstar AKON, and have since held massive shows all around East Africa.

NGONI are currenty in the studio working on their second album and have so far released the first single in collaboration with A.Y-one of Tanzania's finest hiphop artistes.The song is entitled 'MIMI NA WEWE'.
