Born MICHAEL KAKOOZA in a family of 14 siblings,MICHAEL ROSS was always destined to be in the music business. He started out at the tender age of 12 in a group called 'BOYz n RHYTHM 'performing copyright songs from the likes of Johnny Gill, Babyace and Bobby Brown- The latter seems to have inspired more of the artiste in Michael, both in performance style and singing,tho critics suggest that he has more semblance to USHER..
Michael Ross moved on to dancing professionally between 1996 till 2000, and in that year he became buddies with Ugandan ace producer STEVE JEAN, who helped catapult Michael to the charts with his debut single 'SENORITA' in 2002 followed by an album by the same title.This song was so hugely successful and with this, Michael Ross got slots to share the stage with TEVIN CAMPBELL and SHAGGY. He won the best RnB artiste at the PAM AWARDS in 2003.
Michael was introduced to GOODENUFF in the year 2004 where he recorded most of his second album entitled 'YO THE ONE', eclaiming his place as UGANDA's RnB maestro. This album produced such hits for Michael including YO THE ONE, ITS OVER NOW and the ballad IN MY BEDROOM, which were all produced at GOODENUFF.
This year 2007 promises to be a bigger and better year for MICHAEL. His debut single off his third album is called 'YOYO' and is already recieving heavy rotation on radio ststions. He is lined to perform in U.S.A,Europe and Namibia later this year.
